Organic from the start
Sarchio was founded in 1982 and has turned our original vision into the tangible reality of today.
At the time, organic farming methods rowed against the prevailing tide based on the extensive use of pesticides in conventional farming. An alternative vision led to the idea of food choices respecting the balance in nature and promoting the well-being of mankind. Organic farming uses crop rotation to counter soil impoverishment, growing crops without the use of synthetic chemicals, to safeguard biodiversity and protect bees.
Biodiversity
Biodiversity represents the genetic heritage of the Earth's ecosystem.
The intensive cultivation of a few, limited varieties results in the loss of the genetic inheritance passed down by ancient seeds. This leads to a clear imbalance in ecosystems and the gradual disappearance of some species of animals and plants, causing incalculable harm to the environment and to mankind. Sarchio supports a greater awareness and development of products made with alternative cereals, helping to preserve native varieties, such as ancient Italian grains.

The quality of a product depends primarily on the quality of its ingredients.
Most of the cereals we use to make our products come from Italy. Our suppliers are selected according to strict quality standards and we know the origin of all the raw materials we use.
